The Britannia cruise ship, part of P & O’s fleet, recently underwent a significant refit to transform its interiors with a focus on luxury and elegance. Central to this transformation was the atrium, where a new flooring design radiated outward from the elegant chandelier. For this high-traffic and visually critical area, Crema Marfil was the chosen material due to its refined appearance and durability.

We took great care in sourcing the Crema Marfil directly from the quarry. Our team hand-selected each slab to ensure the final product maintained a consistent, high-quality finish. This meticulous selection process was crucial in meeting the luxury standards expected in such a prestigious setting.

To achieve the intricate radial pattern specified for the atrium's flooring, we utilized our in-house CNC waterjet profiling technology. This advanced technique allowed us to precisely cut the stone, ensuring the radial shapes fit the specified drawings perfectly. By keeping the profiling process in-house, we maintained strict quality control throughout the project, guaranteeing the flawless execution of the design.

In addition to the sourcing and profiling, Cristofoli also handled the logistics for exporting the stone to the refit docks in Brest, France. We custom-built suitable crates in-house, providing a one-stop solution for the final customer. This comprehensive approach ensured the safe transport of the high-quality stone, preserving its integrity during the journey.
