Kitchen
Exceptional beauty and wow factor were the requirements for this project. Grigio Orobico was chosen for its beautiful swirls of colour and reddish/brown vein to pick up on the traditional cottage wooden beams. Large panel sizes were possible using Cristocomb™ lightweight technology, minimising joints that would otherwise be drawn to the onlooker’s eye. Careful planning, professional photography and CAD software allowed us to plan material use as efficiently as possible to maximise flowing veins and bookmatch as closely as possible.
The countertops were no exception to the beauty required. Large windows and plenty of natural light provided an excellent opportunity for using an iridescent natural stone. Galactica Blue was an ideal choice. The black granite matched well with white kitchen furniture and blue iridescent tones added the wow factor desired.
Toilet
Wanting to create something a little different, a backlit Onyx was used as both a lighting and decorative feature. Combined with lightweight Breccia Sarda flooring a definite wow factor was achieved.
Bathroom
A challenging task of using Nero Portoro as the principal material. Exceptional planning and design were required to flow its golden veins throughout the entire bathroom. The flooring featured a Thassos, Hauteville and Nero Portoro inlaid floor.
