Why lightweight stone?

Due to its durable nature and availability in a vast array of finishes, natural stone has been quarried and used as a facade and surface material for millennia. Despite this, there are drawbacks of solid natural stone including its weight and time-consuming installation. These factors often result in higher transportation costs, increased structural support requirements, and longer project timelines.

Our innovative lightweight stone products are significantly lighter, ensuring easier installation and greatly reducing labor and transportation costs. These panels come in various natural finishes, offering the same exceptional durability as traditional stone while overcoming the challenges associated with its weight.

Our lightweight stone technology

In our in-house laminating plant, we use a unique and advanced bonding process to manufacture lightweight stone panels. By bonding a thin stone or porcelain veneer to a high-performance lightweight substrate, we achieve superior mechanical strength and durability compared to traditional stone, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including facades, interior surfaces, marine environments, and aerospace projects.

This process not only enhances the performance of the stone but also reduces the weight, ensuring ease of handling and installation across different applications.

Product Testing

Depending on their intended application, our lightweight stone products undergo extensive testing, including impact testing, to ensure optimum performance and safety.

Our facade panels are independently tested by BRE and Sandbergs LLP to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
